What is Mold? Molds are fungi that reproduce by releasing small particles into the air. The spores grow in moist and humid places and they can be easily spotted if there is a mold colony. Since there are many species of molds, they come in various colors, such as black, white, green, brown and so on. Furthermore, the mold can be recognized by the unpleasant smell and it usually appears if there are problems like plumbing leaks, water in the bathroom, a humid basement or if there was any flood recently.
