Hot Tea has become a popular beverage all over the world for many years. I am sure most of my friends here are familiar with it. India from where I immigrated to USA, this beverage is called CHA and CHAI. In Hindi language: मसाला चाय, literally means “Mixed-spice tea.” The term “Indian Masala Chai” have gained worldwide recognition and popularity. This beverage People drink all the time for any reason.
Among Indian Business communities Masala Chai is commonly consumed during business hours. It is shared in 1/2-1/2 cup between two friends or business colleagues during any business visits or transactions. People drink hot tea even when it is scorching temperature during the market hours.

There are four Main ingredients in every cup of Indian Masala Chai-
* Tea Base — Black loose tea leaves a product of Darjeeling Tea grows on the slopes of the side of the mountains, an ideal land for growing.
* Grounded Spices — MASALA as it is known as — Mainly consisted of — Ginger root powder or fresh ginger root, Cinnamon Powder, Clove Powder and Cardamom pods or powder. Also Mint Leaves and Lemongrass (In our home) People from different parts of India modifies this recipe due to regional influence or traditions. It may contain — Saffron, Anise seeds, Bay leaves, Holy Basil leaves. Also, the amount of each ingredient also depends upon the taste of the person making it or drinking it. Also varies whether it is prepared in a Private or public places like coffee or tea shops.
* Fresh Milk or milk powder or nondairy products. The western version also has Vanilla, chocolate or Steam milk added version in some coffee shops and Starbucks is sold this as Chai Latte.
* Sweetener — this could in the form of raw white sugar, Brown Sugar, Honey or artificial

Confession:
While writing this article, I was having a fresh cup of Indian Chai that I prepared it myself. I am an expert in making it anytime for any number of people, and I like to brag about it too as you can see right now!? It is very easy to make it as described above (I should make a Video also If I can). But to make a perfect, tasty cup of Chai all the time, you need a real love and passion for Indian Chai.
So Indian Chai is a hearty as well as is a refreshing beverage. We can enjoy it at any time of the day or night. It is also a healthy and nutritious drink. The ingredient in the masala is a healthy mixture of herbs and spices which helps Digestive, Respiratory and also the Peripheral circulation. Indian Chai is very innocuous, non-alcoholic and non-intoxicating drink. Above all, it helps me write crazy article like this after I drink it!!
