Hospital Analysis of Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital is located in Wyandotte, Michigan and serves as a health provider to the Downriver and western Wayne County area. The hospital was previously known as Wyandotte General Hospital, until 1991, when it became part of Henry Ford Health Systems, and is now called Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital. Henry Ford Health Systems operate as a non-profit organization, which is governed by a board of trustees. Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital is one of the facilities, in addition the main Henry Ford flagship hospital located in Detroit. Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital is comprised of the original building, with an addition added, expanding the building in the front to 160,000 additional square feet. This addition added a four level building where the emergency room has been doubled in size, as well as some doctors’ offices. In addition the Health System offers a variety of care centers such as the Heart and Vascular Institute, Josephine Ford Cancer Institute and a Transplant Institute, among many others. Henry Ford Health Systems have offsite clinics to service residents in almost every city (Henry Ford Health System, n.d.).
