Any lab results that the patient may have received- A patient that has had a lab drawn from the hospital should also be shared with the patient’s primary care manager. This could lead to unnecessary labs or additional questions about the patient’s condition, making more time for patient- provider interaction time. In addition, if the same lab has to be drawn, the physician may be able to tell if the patient is doing better or worse by reviewing the results. When referring patient to s specialists, the primary care doctor will send all the necessary medical information needed.
