Hosea's Beliefs

away from talking about people’s sins after all He claimed in Luke 5:32 that He came for sinners.
Hosea's story is such a beautiful one. It speaks volumes about how much love the Lord has for His children. He pursues us relentlessly. He had a strong desire to live for the Lord and really struggled because His wife Gomer did not live for the Lord. She was extremely unfaithful and did countless repulsive things but Hosea continued to deeply love her and aggressively pursue her just as the Lord continued to purse Israel despite her nauseating behavior. This time was called the “kiddushin” and the couple was not to become intimate. But just as she trusted the Lord to help work things out we can do the same in our own lives today. At first Joseph quietly broke off the engagement trying not to embarrass her but soon Joseph was spoken to and soon learned that his bride-to-be was not impregnated by a man but rather by the Holy Spirit. He then choose to continue with the plan to marry her. Mary herself rejoiced in following the Lord’s plan and she trusted Him in all aspects of her life. Notably, just as we can learn from Hannah, Mary herself used two of her prayers. I think I can speak for the majority, if not all of us Christians in saying that imagining and watching movies of the crucifixion is heartbreaking and a painful
