A tooth can fall out of place due to a number of reasons, including tooth decay and trauma. When this happens, your dentist will install a dental implant the looks and feels just like your former tooth. The procedure can take place in either one or two steps. How well that the dental implant performs depends on how well the implant is cared for after surgery. Poor dental care and infection can cause a dental implant to fail. If this happens, then your dentist will need to replace the implant. As a result, it is important to take care of your dental implant immediately after surgery in order to promote healing. Luckily, there are a few dental rinses that you can use in order to do this.

A horsetail rinse can be created by taking a handful of fresh horsetail and placing it into a cup of hot water. Allow the horsetail to steep for several minutes until the water is no longer clear. Add a few drops of lemon juice for freshness and use the rinse to cleanse your mouth.
