My music had somehow gotten through to the creature and made it aware of my situation. It urged me onto its back and I gave in without protest. Then all at once, it took off with amazing speed toward some direction I could not see in the darkness. I had to violently grab hold of the mane on its back much like one does when riding a wild horse. For hours it seemed the beast rushed on with no clear end in sight through the forest of darkness. I did not know where the beast was taking me until I noticed the foliage was becoming thinner and the sunshine above was becoming brighter. This creature was leading me out of the forest and into the world I had once known.
