Author Jeffrey M.R Duncan-Andrade’s essay “Note to Educators: Hope Required When Growing Roses in Concrete,” mainly describes that there are two types of hopes that three kinds of False hope which is “a reactionary distortion of the radical premise of hope” (page 182) these are hokey, mythical, and deferred. Hokey means a false optimism in a special goad then, the mythical hope is a false narrative which is constructed by an individual base on a single event, Lastly, the deferred hope which are assume to have a direct negative impact in students because of the misrepresentations of conditions when it comes to the poverty.
