Hope In John Steinbeck's 'Children Of Men'

n all perspectives “ Children of Men” presents an aspect of hope that is extremely needed and only one person has the ability to do that and make a critical change. Theo as a professor and a character who had suffered and learned a lot from his experiences in life and able to use them to bring a change and gain authority. In Britain as a child Theo was attached to his cousin Xan and little did he knows that one day he will be facing him and cause a tragic event which in this case benefited him. Theo throughout many chapters has many sides of him and he perfectly knows how to use them in order to cope with them. Showing how different he could be made him a bad and and a good person at the same time through the many circumstances that he got involved with. His development as a person is unique and makes everything seems dramatically.

Some circumstances led to this event but he consistently tied to get himself away from the fact that he is the killer of Natalie even though it might seem like an accident. The denial of his actions makes him look more guilty for this unexpected but terrible death. He is completely destroyed and had no one to rely on and also show how hurt is he was after that.. With no regard to how it is described about how he felt about his daughter, Theo was remorseful and was not able to show his emotions towards how impactful this situation was in his life.. His past actions may have played a role in a catastrophic event in his family but what seems worst is the fact he does not any kind sympathy to his wife. His character shows no sort of affection or love and that is why it is hard for him to reconcile or make peace within himself and acknowledge that the accident was terrible and take his responsibility for it even though it is hard to
