The lawsuit was dismissed in February 2015 by circuit-court judge for lacking evidence of the program being harmful in any way. The FEA and their allies continue to appeal to the lawsuit. The ISA program is very successful and many universities were to incorporate a similar program. Milton Friedman and Simon Kuznets were the first to write a book about investing in education, where the ISA could potentially be sold as “stocks.” However, investors will need confidence and insurance for the program to work. The author believes the program is a great way to make college affordable to students.
