In the film, “Hoosiers” Coach Dale inspired everyone on the team to the first day he got there, he was underestimated and the school and the town did not think much of him. When coach Dale introduced himself, the player thought of him as a nobody but he did not take the disrespect and instead implemented his way of playing and training. Coach Dales immediately emphasized the fundamentals of basketball to his players right away, working on footwork, passing and conditioning, and rebounding. Coach Dale made sure that the players were learning and that they would train hard. Along with rigorous training and exercises to make them great and strong enough to withstand intense games and tough opponents. Coach Dale revolutionized the way those players …show more content…
However, as time goes on, if you give it a try and work through it, you’ll make some of the best memories and moments. Such as Coach Dale and his team of seven did. When Coach Dale came he was recognized as just some dude paid to replace their old coach that they loved and respected and this image of the new coach gave them a doubtful start because these players were so close to the coach, one player in particular Jimmy Chitwood. Jimmy was one of the people who had great character development throughout his life, having a new coach was a tough obstacle but he overcame it, since he was the closest one to the old coach he sought him as a father figure, something he did not have and that gave him reassurance and care. So the trauma of losing him made him broken and felt like he had no one and did not care for anything, but this is when Coach Dale understood him and gave him a chance and let him know he was there …show more content…
The phrase “You are the people you surround yourself with”, This quote explains a lot and means a lot, even if you don't agree, you might be an example of it. My experience in teamwork means a lot to me because I think becoming better at teamwork is helpful. One experience I had that changed my view on teamwork was when I was on the soccer team. As a young player, I was selfish and I did not understand the fundamentals of building bonds and relationships with others and this made me think I was doing everything I could and not getting anywhere. Until I met some people who opened my eyes and made me understand that working together and communicating is the only thing you need to succeed as a team, helping each other mentally and physically and pushing each other to the limit. Although I like teamwork, I think some paths and times are to be taken alone and in these moments, understand yourself and how you can be better in the future when you're ready you will be able to help others and make a great
