Hoop Dreams Arthur Agee Character Analysis

The most important player in “Hoop Dreams” is Arthur Agee, his determination to achieve his goal of being in the NBA has never left his mind no matter what has happened to him. In the beginning of the story of “Hoop Dreams” Arthur Agee was recruited by Big Earl that was seeking out young athletes to attend St. Joseph’s. Arthur was recruited with his long time best friend William Gates to play basketball at St. Joseph. Soon after William starts as a freshman while Arthur gets to far behind on his tuition payments and has to leaves. Even though Arthur went through tough times, he still never lost sight of being the best that he can be on the court. Arthur knew he was a good basketball player but until he saw himself dunk that was an eye opener
