An opportunity that added value to my educational experience has been participating in the honors society program. This has enabled me to gain more knowledge about the field of psychology. Also the program gave me a better impression for what is expected of someone with status. By enlisting myself into the program I agreed to maintain an above average GPA and I would volunteer a minimum of 30 hours of my time to my community. I liked this because it forced me to push myself and put me around others that also dedicated their time to academics. By joining the honors society, it allowed to me to register into advanced classes that will help me pursue my future career and enhanced my readiness to take upper-division courses.
