Honors Club Leadership Essay

My leadership with the Honors Club has consisted of organizing and leading the club meetings, giving information about different activities, responding emails and text messages, and coordinating and volunteering with PACC.
Somehow I always get the feeling that I could do more. I was excited about my leadership position before the semester started because I thought I was going to have a lot of time to get involved in all the honors activities. I found this to be very far from reality once the semester started, since I am taking 14 credits, working part time, and volunteering. I also have to take care of my house, which is a lot of work. Cleaning, paying bills, and keeping everything functioning actually requires a lot of time. I have also started looking for a new place to live, which is very time consuming. I am also starting my application for the All USA scholarship, which will be taking a lot of my time soon. Despite all of

I have a genuine desire to participate in everything, but the reality is that time is limited. I have been getting a couple of extra hours every day by cutting off my sleep, which has actually allowed me to stay on track with all of my school work.
Something I also have reaffirmed about myself is my desire to help in any way I can. PACC is very important to me because it gives me the opportunity to do something I believe is meaningful. It also breaks my heart not to be able to foster the many pets in need. I do what I can while I’m there, and I also try to get other people to feel passionate about it too. So far this semester we have about 12 new, committed volunteers.
I have also been volunteering with Goodwill, tutoring every other Thursday from 1 to 5. I enjoy this very much. I like to meet young people and watch them try to improve themselves and succeed. Many of them are also very amusing. They say very interesting

Being a leader can on occasion be difficile. Sometimes, you have to do things you do not wish to do, and other times, you have to really be able to coordinate events and be held culpable for what accompanies them. A leader, at no time, should be unreliable and should always be collaborative. I admit I have had what it takes to be a leader based on what I have accomplished this year. Being involved in AVID for four years now, I have continuously admired it.…

INTRODUCTION The University of Oklahoma (OU) prides itself in being a diverse campus with endless opportunities. These opportunities are beneficial to all students, but not so easily achieved by a handful of students. The Native American community at The University of Oklahoma is a growing community to all involved, but is also one of the smallest communities within the campus in Norman, Oklahoma. Due to the lack of communication within this group of the Native American community here at OU, most Native American students on campus are not yet established and are not benefiting from the opportunities available to them through the university.…

By the time this is submitted, it would be the fourth week of school. I think it is timely that this journal is centered around time management since this is the period our midterms begin and hence, would be a good measure for how well we have been managing our time. As someone who is easily stressed, I find that staggering mammoth tasks and planning a timetable does aid in managing stress. Personally, I use a timetable as a guide but I do not stick to it religiously.…

I can recall a time when I challenged myself to do tremendous work over the summer. That summer was this year, where I encouraged myself to take drivers education for my license next year, test out of Algebra 2 and P.E., work at my parent’s nail salon to earn some cash, do my AP History and Advanced English homework, practiced my viola for Symphonic Orchestra, read during the night, and study for the S.A.T. (which was too early). I was prompted to act because I recently found my ambitions for my future, which is wanting to become some sort of engineer (undecided, but it is in this field), have the highest GPA possible, and get accepted into University of Michigan. These objectives did not came to me at the speed of light, but naturally throughout…

I can recall my recent summer when I challenged myself to do tremendous work. Looking back to my previous summers, the mundane experience encouraged me to take drivers education for my license next year, test out of Algebra 2 and P.E., work on my AP History and Advanced English homework, practiced my viola for Symphonic Orchestra, read books during the night, and study for the S.A.T. (which was indeed, way too early for me). I was prompted to act because I recently found my ambitions for my future. My ultimate educational goal is to become some sort of engineer (undecided, but it’s related to this field), have the highest GPA possible, and obtain acceptance into University of Michigan. These ambitions didn’t hit me at the speed of light, but naturally throughout my ninth grade as I transition to a broader level of education.…

When I was in third-grade, I was diagnosed with Tuberous Sclerosis Complex, or TSC for short. TSC is a disease that causes benign tumors to grow on major organs, such as the brain, eyes, kidneys, lungs, heart, and liver. The tumors cause four major symptoms: autism, epilepsy, mental retardation, and physical retardation. That year my family attended a conference regarding the disease to learn more about the TSC and its effects. At the conference, children were put into either a regular or “delayed” daycare service.…

During the past few months here at Wisconsin Lutheran College I have gained much knowledge and experience in and out of the classroom. I have met many great professors and students that have all impacted me somehow.
