I lost sight of that when I got wrapped up in wanting the great grades more than taking care of my fellow man/woman. Then again, when I got sick, blaming everyone but myself. By changing my personality and reassessing my values, I have learned to accept the way I am and embrace it, even with the scars. I have found ways around the new rules, learning to cook using low or no sodium and using the accommodations at school to help me get a degree. I am thankful for every day, whether it’s in a hospital bed getting treatment or paddle boarding. My advice to everyone is to enjoy every day like it is your last, because you just never know what might
