Each student is there for the same purpose and not one student is left alone. This society lets students become leaders on campus. Say the society is volunteering at a community service event, other students see us having fun and they want to join. But this society goes farther than that. It gives the chance of scholarships, internships, study abroad opportunities, and benefits. I am a testimony, if it had not been for an organization like NSCS, I more than likely would not be as involved as I am on campus. A society like this lets students grow. It allows them to branch out, but it also gives them confidence that they can achieve what they want, or not, there are always resources available. Overall, you get out of it what you put in. I never thought that I would be in a society of collegiate scholars. People will see this and know that you are automatically different from your peers. Societies like this will go a long way, rather you are a freshman or an alumni. I will wear my cords and pin proudly on graduation day. NSCS should always remain around for students because each student has to start someplace. There is work involved, but hard work pays
