Honor codes and systems are used in schools all across the world in order to influence the students to use their own mind and resources to complete their work. Lately, though, cheating and plagiarism have been on the rise, thinking for oneself has been on a steady decline. Honor codes and systems are needed in school to not only be maintained, but to be emphasized on. This increases the probability of the cheating and plagiarism rate to go down, to encourage and reward students when they turn in a cheating student, and to help students want to support and follow an honor code.
