Many schools, colleges and universities have honor codes to ellicit the best from their students and prevent them from academic dishonesty. Through the act of penalizing those of academic dishonesty, integrity becomes a strong suit for the students relying on their own brains for knowledge. At Jacksonville High, my school, there is an implied honor system, but it isn’t efficiently upheld by the faculty and students. In all, Jacksonville should establish an honor code that relies on the faculty’s supervision due to dishonesty among students and their moral beliefs.
