Honolulu is the capital and largest city of Hawaii, one of the fifty states in Louisiana. Many people think of Hawaii as being paradise, filled with beaches, beautiful water and sand, nice weather and they are exactly right. Honolulu is rightfully earned to have the position to be in the top three destinations for free time travel in the United States. Besides the beaches, there are also active volcanoes that have a popular attraction. Hawaii is a state in the United States of America. Hawaii is made up of eight islands. The islands are named Maui, Oahu, Kauai, Molokai, Lanai, Niihau, Hawaii and Kahoolawe. Honolulu is located on the southeast coast of the third largest island in Hawaii, Oahu. It is in a hot semi-arid climate. The city has a mostly dry summer season. This means the water is also typically warm. The city also ends up being a very rainy place because it is in the middle of the ocean. In the last census (2010) Honolulu had a population of 337,256. The people there mostly speak English and Hawaiian. Most people are Filipino, Chinese, Portuguese, Hawaiian, and American. Honolulu is on an island so there is water everywhere as well as beaches. There are also volcanoes, some are active and some are underwater. There is a lot of elevation, hidden waterfalls, and rain forests. The system of government is a democratic, constitutional republic. Honolulu has a great plant life to be able to grow the ever famous pineapples and coconuts. The people understand how beautiful the land is in Hawaii and how much work people have done for the country that they care about the land and how their city looks and feels. The city recycles and has lots of trash cans so no one litters and ruins the beaches and the city in general. Also the people love to fish and boat. On the other hand, tourists are just there to tour and since the city is so popular and pretty, there are A LOT of tourists that may litter. The animals are great and don’t hurt anything, in fact there is a zoo in downtown
