Honey Sanguinetti: The Most Influential Person In My Life

Improved Essays
The most influential person in my life was someone I never got to meet was my grandmother her name was Honey Sanguinetti because she died before I was born, I only have photos to see what she looked like at my age, very tall with long black hair, my father told me that she had chocolate-brown eyes just like me, and a deep tan complexion. That is all I know about because she died when my father was about five and my grandfather in no longer alive, but I do know that she had a kind soul and she wasn’t afraid to speak her mind if she saw something happening that she thought was wrong.

From photos and stories, I have found that she loved horses so much that she started to rescue them, like her own horse a large Hanoverian gelding by the name of Thunder-head. Nevertheless, even though she couldn’t afford to start her own rescue center, she still wanted to help horses. She even wrote down everything she did with the horses in a bunch of journals. In one journal, there were specific entries for every horse that included what trauma they suffered, their symptoms, and how she treated them. In another journal, there were entries for specific injuries with the herbal remedies to fix them. There were even entries on some very famous horses like Assault the Triple Crown winner in 1946, Citation the Triple Crown winner in 1948, Man O’War the horse that raced against the Sea - biscuit and Bold Ruler who was the father of the Secretariat.

I pray that she would be proud that I am following in her
