Honesty provides a moral compass for a person towards legitimate choices and guides them to a healthy life. On the other hand, lying and cheating lead people into thinking that these dishonest people can’t return the sentiment of being given their trust. Some inexcusable reasons for becoming dishonest are a person’s aspiration for money, power or glory without putting other people’s positions into consideration. There is a plethora of people in history who have used and abused people through manipulation for self beneficial reasons and these people are disliked and talked down upon. Accordingly, it does not only make those dishonest people look selfish and conceited, but others will probably also look at them and be able to pierce through the egotistical, cheating façade and see them incapable of making the right choices.
