Since the being of humanity, homosexuality has been around. Thus, centuries ago christens started diagnosing homosexuality as a lustful way influenced by the devil. Then in the early 1950s, many doctors and psychologist started diagnosing homosexuality to be a disease. Furthermore, studies started to take place, with finding the homosexual origin and the controversial topic with nature vs. nurture rose upon a debatable topic in today’s society. In addition, some people are influenced by their religion to believe that homosexuality is simply a choice and as no biological factors. However, many people believe that homosexuality has many biological factors taken place and should not define homosexuality as a choice, but as a given birth right.

I also believe that minor environmental influences can help an confused male or female figure out the feeling they have towards the same sex , for example my lesbian aunt told me her first female crush was when she was five years old . She didn’t understand why the other girls fancy boys, since she only thought the girls were attracted. My aunt came from catholic back ground and had no knowledge of homosexuality until she went to high school. In the tenth grade she talked to a counselor about her feelings towards other females, and the counselor explained homosexuality. How can a five year child figured out that she only like females at a young age, with zero environmental influence? The answer is easy, she was born that way.
