The most popular argument for homosexuality is that homosexuality, for those who subscribe to it, should be a civil right. By definition, civil rights are the enforceable privileges and rights of the citizens to political and social freedom and equality. If someone identifies as a homosexual, then it should be morally acceptable for them to have the social freedom to remain a homosexual. It should not be the state, or any another group with injurious intentions to give action to said intentions. The next argument complements this previous one.
Another argument for homosexuality argues that sexuality is an individual’s choice. Sexual orientation should be the individual’s decision; Sexuality isn’t binary, as scientific research has suggested for so long. It is instead a spectrum. No one has the right to moral imperialism on others. If someone identifies as homosexual, or any other sexual orientation for that matter, then they should not be discriminated against for that sole reason.
