Curing homosexuality with aversion therapy was an extreme and torturous treatment. This was especially demonstrated in the therapy environment itself. In the case of Peter Price, a 19 year old boy who was instructed by his mother to get cured, was forced to lay in his urine, poo and vomit and required to look at pictures of naked men (Tatchell, 1997). Doctors then injected him with the nausea-inducing drug Apomorphine and forced him to listen to tapes that would ridicule and insulted his sexual orientation.
