This is an important issue for society because the police department are doing nothing about it. There have been no rules made to protect citizens from police brutality. moreover, I've observed several videos blatantly displaying police brutality.one video on involved a dispute that occurred outside of a movie theater between a mother and daughter, with you later and it in the death of the Father. The police that we're seeing this video are accused of excessively beating the man all because he refuses to show them his Id after he explain to them that it was a family matter. The cops are then seen on top of the man, while he lays on the ground unable to stand up because five cops are holding him down. Later even after medics arrived on scene the man remained unresponsive. The Oklahoma police are saying that the officers were following protocol therefore, no harsh punishment was given. Although three of the five officers involved were suspended without pay. Another display of excessive force by the law enforcement occurred in Seattle when a twenty-three year old man was asked to corroborate his tory that he's driving her car. He then was yelled at by officers to keep his hands on the car. He then began to move and that when three officers held him down forcing his face on the car telling him to relax, he then was choked and punched in the face several times. The gentleman involved tried to claim that the man had tried to harm them and was charged with ‘ Contempt of a cop’ and assault. The
