As Mahatma Ghandi once said, "You must be the change you wish to see in the world." To begin the change in this world, the first thing I would make sure was gone would be homophobia. Afterwards, I would make sure no one would suffer from any sort of mental illness. Lastly, I would abolish all bad feelings such as hatred, sadness and anger. These are just a few of the things I would get rid of if I could change the world. If I could I could change anything in this world, homophobia would definitely be first. Ever since I came out as gay, people have made a few remarks to me about my sexuality or something relating to that. I've been called many inappropriate names and to be quite honest, it's hurtful. Many people are wondering why so many …show more content…
First, no one would feel betrayed if someone like their girlfriend and/or boyfriend lied to them. My, now ex, girlfriend lied to me about cheating. I asked her what she was doing on Saturday and she said she was at a family dinner and she claimed she had to go. The next day, her friend sent a picture of my girlfriend kissing another girl and I ended it right then and there. There were a lot of tears and hatred but since then we've apologized. We no longer talk but I don’t care. Secondly, anyone who's been dumped or dumped someone else knows how heart-wrenching it is. Love is painful, if you find someone who truly loves you and would do anything for you, you're lucky. Finally, there's nothing worse than being happy and then instantly being sad. I don’t know why it happens. It's like a switch in your brain just flips on when you're at your happiest. To put it briefly, everyone would be much happier if we no longer could feel hatred or sadness. Overall, out of everything I could change, these are just the top three. Homophobia would be first, making sure that no one was being bullied is important to me. Secondly, everyone living a happy and healthy life matters most. Lastly, being happy is so important. Everyone should feel that way. All in all, we must be the change we wish to see in this

Even if one person creates changes in his or her society at a global, national, or community level in a positive way, will make this world a better place. Each individual can create changes in his or her society, unless he/she feels that it is important to society, that an action must be needed and the action that they going to propose in order for changes to happen. The changes that I want it to happen are; to have free schooling for students from kindergarten to twelve grade all over the world, along with women’s right to an education, offer free health care and helping homeless…

The authors of the article “Is Homophobia Associated with Homosexual Arousal?” Henry E. Adams, Lester W. Wright, Jr., and Bethany A. Lohr all collaborated efforts to test a theory involving homophobia. The article was published in 1996 to investigate how certain anxieties among heterosexuals who felt homosexual arousal lead to an overall negative feeling towards homosexuals, otherwise known as homophobia. They presented an experiment that could explore homophobia and demonstrate its relationship to homosexual arousal. In the study, researchers drew a…

The authors findings agree with other general findings that illustrate homophobia as a variation of dormant homosexuality, in which the person is either utterly oblivious to or refuses to acknowledge their same-sex urges (Adams, Wright, & Lohr, 1996). Possible limitation is the testing effect in the case of assessing the participant’s aggression led to awareness of their own aggression and the denial of it. Another limitation is they only looked at men, men who were young, and men that were white. They also seemed to only focused on negative homophobic feelings men feel towards gay men as opposed to including hostility that is also faced by lesbians; they didn’t address why this was done; are homophobic men less aggressive towards lesbian women, then they are towards gay men? The study only looks at homophobia through the male lens, eliminating the examination homophobia towards women by women.…

Writes GLBTRC (Gay Lesbian Bisexual Transgender Queer Questioning & Ally), "Homosexuality is not the disease to be studied.
