I attended Saint Peters Preparatory school in Jersey City, NJ, and it was there where I learned what it meant to be a man for others who is committed to doing justice. I have also always felt a need to fight for those that cannot fight for themselves, and support those that are less fortunate than I am. I also have friends from high school that are homosexual and attacking an issue like this is just one small thing I am willing to do to advocate on their behalf. This topic also matters to me because of my sister. My sister is a feminist, and I do not say that with the derogatory connotation that the term is often associated with today. I say that with true pride because she authentically believes in the equality for all and tries to be an advocate for oppressed communities. She is the one who introduced me to this issue and I have been inspired by her passion. This amendment bans anything that might be considered propaganda or nontraditional sexual relationships in the presence of minors. This includes the spreading of information that is conveyed as promoting the “attractiveness” of a nontraditional sexual relationship.
