We wanted to create a place where students can learn more about gender and the media. To discuss how they can be affected or how they can handle gender policing, homophobia, and the advertising of women. Also we wanted students to freely express themselves about these topics in a judgement free zone. In completing our objective we planned to meet twice a week every Tuesday and Thursday after 2:30 to create a discussion panel to bring together other students from the Sociology departments a well as those who are interested to attend. The discussion panel was proof that students have been stucked into the media’s black hole especially the topic of Homophobia. This topic truly was well presented during the panel and internalized by students. Though this group project has taught our group the importance of teamwork and group effort. If all members are not invested in the project it will not be a successful experience. A group should not be solely led by one person because every group member has a voice and it should vocalized. Lastly, members of our group have been able to grow, confront hardships, and dealt with past struggles. This is not easy, one can begin to feel very vulnerable but putting aside our comfort to voice the importance of these topics showed
