Coming home is the best feeling in the entire world, isn’t it? Especially since my school doesn’t give out homework. I go to a special private school, That’s why we have the iPads and no homework. And all that lucky stuff. Homework is one of the worst inventions in the world. Before going to my private school, which is a K-12 school, I went to public school in first grade. We had to write book logs every week because the teachers were concerned with us reading. It was absolute torture. I have cousins and other friends that always say “I have so much homework to do,” and I feel lucky to not experience it.
Now, about my private school, which was for kids 13-20, there were three buildings, or “wards.” The elementary ward, the juvenile ward, and the high class ward. It saves us 12-graders from stepping on all of the middle schoolers. Another thing my school has are houses, which are dormitories based off of your special skills. Scarlett Fox (red house) is for people who have pretentious backgrounds, Sapphire Owl (blue house) is for people who excel in academics. Green Lion (green house) is for people who excel in sports and the one I'm apart of, Violet Wolf (purple house) is where people who excel in the arts. My friend Nona is in Red house, because she has a lot of money. My other friends, twins Artemis and Apollo are in Greenhouse, because they don’t really excel at anything, but they are alright in

Liz Goodenough said this to Harvard Education magazine: "Ideally homework should be about taking something home, spending a few curious and interesting moments in which children might engage with parents, and then getting that project back to school — an organizational triumph" (Hough). If a student is actively engaged in his or her homework, they will get it done much faster than some worksheet. The average student will check their phone or watch an episode on Netflix between pages of homework. Doesn't sound fun, right? “The kids get so much homework, they are not getting something out of it. They're doing it to get it done.” Though critics argue homework is vital to children's education it is actually disproven by a study shown that homework actually has no positive impact on a child's education, it is actually proven that homework causes stress in a student(Homework Should Be Banned). These are one of the main reasons parents and students are trying to put a limit on homework.…
