Public school is the most popular choice of education in the U.S. Public school offers free education for students between the ages of 5 and 18 years old. The state mandates the curriculum for standardized education with every public school. This is also known as the Cookie Cutter system, where everyone has the same education. Although every public school has standardized education, some public schools offer specialized field of education through Charter schools. The class sizes are larger in public schools due to the numerous students. In public schools, the pace of teaching is set, so every student learns at the same pace. With homeschooling, students can take as much time as they need on a homework lesson without holding back an entire class. The personal chosen curriculum and classes are the only purchases needed for homeschooling. Students can learn to their ability with homeschooling instead of having to pace with a class. A student can slow down their study hours or speed them up to fit their personal desires. From a personal experience, since my school day is dictated by my work completion, not by hours of attendance, this allows me to focus on developing other talents that interest me.
