Parental choice has been expanded through the accountability structure of No Child Left Behind, which supports options such as charter schools and voucher choice programs. However families are taking the initiative afforded to them by this act to choose to homeschool their children. According to this study there are currently more children being educated in the home than in either charter schools or voucher choice programs.
