Although there are studies on the brain when students should start school, homeschoolers have the option to start later(Let Them Sleep). Although they don’t have the option to have less school days, they do have the option to not have all the breaks we do. They still have certain restrictions just like public schools. Some downfalls are they are spending almost all the time with their parents. For some teens the time they already have with them so imagine being taught by them all day. Especially children who have a mental or learning disorder, its hard to concentrate on things. Say they were at a public high school in English, and a kid was tapping his foot or clicking his pen, for some that is irritating and for some that could make them have a mental break down. Then kids would make fun of them for freaking out. At home the student does not have to walk to their next class where in a public school they do. That is where a good twenty - thirty minutes of the day goes. At home they don’t have to walk to the next class or have to spend the same time on each subject/ class as they do at the public education. Every class has a set time slot each day.
