Individualism is a great factor that comes out of homeschooling. When children are homeschooled they often possess their own ideals and individuality. They are less likely to conform o society than public schooled children are. Homeschooled students have a free space to be themselves and be as opinionated as wished to be without being judged. Homeschooled students are not distracted by what to wear or the people there, only their education or in other words “when you homeschool a child, his life isn’t dictated by trends; it’s dictated by the values that you instill.” (Richards-Gustafson). Learning is a bigger factor of homeschooling than people think. Many students learn in different ways, and the way students are taught can be very crucial …show more content…
Many say that homeschooled students lack social skills which does not allow them to function in the real world, which is highly untrue. Students who are homeschooled will not learn the when to use cos and tan on their calculator, or how to calculate the electronegativity of an atom but will learn about topics that will benefit their future. Homeschooled students have the opportunity to learn how to do household activities they will need to know how to do when they depart for college such as cooking, cleaning, etc. and have the time to do it compared to public students who have very little time for such activity. Homeschooled students have the time to be taught how to pay bills, and portion money in order to make sure they have enough to pay monthly bills. Homeschooling has many factors that will benefit a student’s future more than degrade it such as teaching them real life skills such as paying bills, and allowing them the time to be hired on at a real job in which they can be very flexible for. Homeschooling also opens up opportunities to attend education enriching field trips where they will learn valuable and useful topics and factors of the real world. Every child is different and individually talent in certain areas. Some students pick up material quickly on their own and problem solve themselves, and some children must have than one-on-one time where they can visually learn how to complete a task. These two different personalities are only a few of many, Homeschooling allows students to go at their own pace. After all, forcing a student to proceed at a faster pace will not help a student learn material or retain an aspect of it. It will only frustrate the student and lead to other factors such as giving up, depression, and more detrimental conclusions. Homeschooling allows your student to learn in the best way possible to suit their liking, and when a student enjoys the way they learn they will retain more

Homeschooling is regulated differently from state to state. In some states, parents are able to create their own curricula, whereas other states require standardized tests, curriculum approval, and regular professional evaluation of students (Friedman Foundation, 2014). There are strong arguments against home schooling. Homeschooling allows youth to discover for themselves instead of simply learning facts. Because the children learn at home, it lowers the student-teacher ratio to the minimum and permits parents to entirely influence their children’s education both spiritually and mentally. By holding the role of teacher, principle, and counselor, the parents retain the privilege to completely decide how they teach their children. Homeschooling cannot be the BEST form of education can it? The answer is simple – it depends on the family’s unique needs and lifestyle.…

Biased homeschooling increases the chance children grow up to be replicas of their parents, being as narrow-minded and naive as the adult. Parents can forget that their child needs to be exposed to other influences and people, especially children their own age. If they aren 't, and they want to have friends, they can let others take advantage- them thinking there 's no harm in it. In regards to parents wanting their children to have what they think is a proper education, their emotions can become too involved and may coddle their children, and if said child dislikes something they may be lax in that area of education.…
