For example, “more than 34,000 people experience homelessness in Southern Nevada throughout the year (Fuentes).” Homelessness should not have to be a lifestyle. These people need help. There needs to be a solution implemented in order to stop the homelessness rate from increasing. If there is a will, there is a way.
Something that can be done to prevent the homelessness rate from increasing is making more services that help people with mental illness before they end up homeless and services that help those mentally ill who are already homeless in order to help them recover and stabilize.
Not having secure housing and health services can worsen psychological problems or cause mental stress. This meaning that some people develop mental illnesses when they become homeless. Homeless people are more likely to fall into many health problems like depression, anxiety, schizophrenia and so on. If these people are already mentally ill when they become homeless, then their mental illness can be aggravated by their living
