I believe that the most effective intervention in this case will be to make all children to be aware of the various programs designed to rescue ill-treated children, as well as enhancing their ability to easily contact child support agencies for help. Additionally, I would make adults aware of programs designed to help them cope with abusive partners.
However, I know that as a human services professional, some of the most important skills that I might need to work with these population. Some of these skills include consistent behavior while selecting the best interventions that are congruent with the values of the victims, a strong desire to help the affected population, as well as effective oral and written communication skills. The National Alliance to End Homelessness, a governmental agency in my country, has put in place the necessary measures to help the mentally ill find new homes. I think that this agency has been effective in assisting the mentally ill by improving homelessness policy, educating the public, as well as building the capacity of other agencies to implement policies and practices to reduce and end homelessness.
In the case of the runaways, the Continuum of Care Program is the program of the Continuum of Care Agency that provides emergency assistance to children running away from abuse or any other intolerable situations in their homes. This agency is effective enough, considering the fact that it helps leaders make informed decisions regarding complexities of homelessness through analytical research about this homeless
