Most homeless people have little education, pasting a negative connotation on their work ethic. In Charlotte,Virginia only 69% of homeless people have a high school diploma, or equivalent to that(The Daily Progress).One in thirty kids during 2013 in the U.S were homeless(Kedmey).Obviously homeless is growing at an unstoppable pace. The average amount of days someone to be homeless for in Canada is 50 days(Canadian Press). Imagine spending 50 frigid days and nights in a populated city asking for money, but no one has the heart to give some up. My first solution is to have more food drives. With more food drives the homeless will be able to focus on more than just scavenging food.
My second resolution is a community house. Just like a library the homeless could rent cots overnight, then in the morning they could turn them back in. My third and final solution is to have an item drive. I think it would be amazing if the homeless could go to the city hall and pick items like blankets, or jackets. There are many solutions to this worldwide problem,but there are just few of my plentiful ideas.
Overall homelessness is not a issue to not take seriously. Between Canada and the U.S over 810,042 are homeless and it will not stop unless we do something soon(Canadian Press). Homelessness is one of the worst issues this world has, and it will take all of our help to fix it. All in all, homeless people people are passing on everyday and it will take all our help to fight this
