Bader, it is evident that homelessness has a positive impact on one’s identity as a college student. Eleanor starts off by telling the story of a twenty-two-year-old college student (693). After being physically abused, she was forced to leave the comfort of her home and live on the streets. She explains the hardships of moving from place to place to not only have a place to lay her head at night, but to survive. Despite her obstacles, she had goals of completing school and having a future. She stayed true to herself by making a way to continue with schooling and making it to class on time.
