Homeless Trespassing Analysis

Homeless trespassing was an issue that Luis Moctezuma, a pastor of the Huntington Park Mision Evangelica church, and I spoke about few weeks ago. He mentioned homeless people trespassed into the church when no one was around. His was concerned that they were going to destroy the outside of the church. Moreover, they were not going to respect the church and do malicious acts such as drinking alcohol in the backyard. No reports were made because he did not have any evidence of the incidence. Since I go to this church, I told my pastor I was going to take immediate action because I did not want anything horrible to happen in the church. On May 26, 2016 I tried to contact the mayor of Huntington Park, Karina Macias, however, she was not available. I tried to make an appointment with her, but she was booked. Moreno, it is important to address the trespassing issue because it will prevent others from doing it. If someone is captured doing this act, they will be penalized and warned not to do it again. As for the homelessness in Huntington Park, it is important to address this issue because it is putting their life’s in jeopardy and is making the people of the community feel uncomfortable and unsafe. Many have substance issues that makes their appearance look unfavorable, however, many homeless people are not looking for trouble, they only want a place to rest and feel safe.
She said trespassing is a criminal offence and it can occur on both private or public property. A person convicted of trespassing can face a range of penalties such as jail consequences and fines. Jail conviction for trespassing can range from several days to several months. Fines penalties vary widely, from a few hundred dollars to as much as thousands or more. In order for people not to trespass, signs of enforcing the consequence are essential. She recommended reporting any suspicious activity of trespassing to the local
