I can agree with your statement “mental health involves keeping attention, storing information, and comprehend it.” There is a psychologist at the homeless shelter I work for has a very different approach or view on mental health his approach is the humanistic perspective which means according to Feldman (2009) “the perspective that emphasizes the responsibility people have for their own behavior, even when such behavior is abnormal (p. 516).”
