According most people homeless people are just lazy, and that’s why they are homeless. However according to LCC Housing website, “Many homeless people are among the working poor, a term used to describe people who have worked 27 hours or more and are at or below the official poverty level. In 2009 11.7% of employed individuals were living below the poverty level, compared to 7.6% in 2000. About 7.9% of families were below the poverty level.” (2016. Par. 7) Also According to LCC Housing website in Licking County alone there were more than 2,400 people were homeless during a one-year period ending April 1, 2012, and about 40% of those that are homeless in Licking County are …show more content…
Like the LCC Housing I do believe there needs to be a wide range of houses that allow the homeless to come in to receive the help that they need in order to start working toward getting their lives back together. Also until we are able to get those new programs into place there should be more talk about the systems that are already in place to help the homeless, so they can know about it when they need it.
