Homeless People: A Short Story

10 years ago, a mayor of a town was walking down the street to get to his office. Along the way he was asked for change from sevel homeless people. This annoyed the mayor to no end. When he got to city hall he found that there was 2 homeless people who set up a cardboard box home near the front. The mayor decided to go up and knock it down. The two homeless people got up and yelled at the mayor, not really knowing who he is. The mayor decided to put them in jail, just because. The mayor enjoyed seeing the two getting put into jail. He wanted them all in jail, he made a law that would put every homeless man and woman in jail. Naturally, people were outraged. They said that this was not right and it is not their fault that they are homeless. …show more content…
Most of were found guilty the first or second day, but the original mayor was able to hire a great lawyer and was found not guilty the forth day of court. People were outraged about the fact that he was let off Scott free. He even resumed his place in office. This made the people of the town very upset. They didn't want this man to be the head of the town after knowing how he treats people that are lower than him. they dealt with it though. The man stayed in office in till next election, but the next one acted just like the last one. The things he say when he was giving his speeches were all lies. He treated people the same as the last mayor. He even started putting homeless people back into jails and some into mental intonations claiming that being poor is a mental illness. This time he was careful not to let people out side his town to know, but as you would expect, people did find out. He went to court and loss unlike the last mayor and was sentenced to life in prison after some other skeletons came out of the closet. Now this town is gone. The hole area is a ghost town. Not many people remember the injustice that happens years ago though. And as the years go on less and less people
