At the start of this week, I didn't know much about our topic. With the places we have visited I have now learnt new things about what it means to not have a home. It isn't just about living on the streets and closing out the world, it's about helping those who need it. At The Big Issue we were educated on lots of things about homelessness in Melbourne. We also got to hear from a man who is homeless and had big things happen during his life. He told us that when he was young his family didn’t support him which cause him to be addicted to alcohol. Then later he started his own company up and made heaps of money and was buying more of what he wanted than he needed. After, he had trouble with his workers and clients so he left and became homeless. The Big Issue has helped him find himself again and get back on track. At the Magistrates’ court we experienced a few different court cases. Some were boring and very hard to understand whilst others were interesting. I enjoyed going to the courts as I had never been before and it was a next experience for
