One of the major reasons for the industry’s in-home growth is the increased numbers of seniors preferring to remain in their homes well past the traditional retirement age. Demographics are showing a higher demand for daily services, which are nonmedical as individuals become less mobile, yet still living at home. According to IBIS World over 70% of seniors are diagnosed with chronic conditions with many varying in seriousness leaving another 30% needing minimum non-medical health services at home.
