A home warranty and home insurance are interchangeable.
This couldn't be further from the truth. Home insurance and home warranties cover the home in different ways. Home insurance provides year-round coverage for dangerous circumstances such as natural disasters, fire, and theft. Home warranties provide year-round coverage for major and minor appliance repair. It also provides replacement costs in case the appliance isn't salvageable.

A home warranty is costly.
