Rising Demand for Home Health Nurses Nurses and the art of nursing has been around for many years, but in recent times the demand for nurses has been on the rise. This demand has especially noted in the area of Home Health. Before, nursing homes and hospitals were the only options to a temporarily or terminally ill patient; now, there is third options. The rising popularity of home health nursing has been a great alternative to nursing homes or hospitals. The patient is now able to stay comfortably in their own home with the assurance that a nurse will be there to take care of them. This has given many patients the comfort that they do not have to dread spending the rest of their life outside of their own home. Many nurses and doctors believe that one of the main reasons home health nursing has become so popular is the fact that many patients are living much longer lives than they had in the past. Patients who once would die of a disease or illness are now living long and healthy lives because of technological and medical advances.
