Home Boy Monologue

Improved Essays
It is the day before school starts back up, it’s pouring rain, and my dad won’t let me go outside. I wanted to go tell my homeboy Trent about what happened. I can tell him anything, considering the fact that we’ve been through thick and thin together. I’ve known Trent since Kindergarten, But anyways back to my story. I want to tell Trent so maybe he can help me. I’m so scared I have no idea what to do and with this stupid craving I’m always having I probably won’t even be able to go to basketball practice tomorrow. So, this needs to go now or else I won’t have any chance of getting recruited. If I can never practice I can never play. I’ve been told that I’m good enough to go straight into the NBA, but if i can’t settle this down there won’t be any basketball future. I guess I’ll just have to get up and go over to Trent’s house early. …show more content…
I got out of bed, put on my clothes, and took off out the door. I was sprinting and suddenly stopped, my Jordans sliding across the pavement as they came to a sudden hault. I forgot my backpack. When I got to his apartment complex I stopped and started to think, “What’s gonna happen if we can’t get help today and he ends up telling everybody in the school about my secret.” I would be tracked down by scientists and taken for inspection considering the fact that vampires aren’t supposed to be real. I finally just came to the conclusion that if he were to do that then we wasn’t the friend I always thought him to be. It was a decision that I had to make gingerly, but I trust

Ponyboy was really the first person I could express my opinions to and the first person I could really talk to about how I feel about this stupid social division we have to go by. Even though he doesn’t really understand how we Socs have problems too, I can see that he at least sort of understands- not completely, but just a little… Knowing that he sort of understands is a mixed feeling of relief and just a bit of an absurd feeling as well, I mean, a Soc and a greaser actually having a nice conversation.. I didn’t expect him to actually understand at all, but I also didn’t expect him to be completely ignorant about it either. “Cherry, look what’s coming,” Marcia quickly addressed. I watched the blue Mustang as it was coming down the street.…

A soft glisten of pale, blue moonlight graced the dark navy sky of Happy Harbour's winding bays as midnight dawned over the city. Twinkling white stars gleamed throughout the dark sky; reflecting in the soft waves below. Cicadas chirping accompanied by the occasional splash of the rising tide, which rose over the rocky shores- frothing and hissing with white foam. The chilly night smelt of salt, accompanied by the skittering of water caught in the breeze.…

On a casual morning where puffs of clouds laid across the blue saturated skies in Salerno Italy, a mandolin was playing live, matching the rhythm of the snare pops and door bells. The busy people of this small city where bass, placing one foot after there other on beat of the clear music, on there way to the beaches, shopping stores, and there neighbors house. A window of a upper level town house is opened letting Italy’s air invade the artistic room of Valentina Porricelli. As the breeze swept through she to breathed in all the activity.…

As I walked home from school the next day he was there he came out from a dark alley as I passed him by. Then I mustered up as much courage as I could and then I turned around and asked him what he wanted he just stood there and breathed very loudly for about fifteen seconds. He looked like he was about to say something he said “you dropped your books a couple of days ago and I have been trying to give it back to you”. “Well thanks for the help man”, he smiled and went on his way to the other side of the road. The moment you step foot on the field you get that rush of this is where I belong. The bright lights in your face like the blazing sun in your eyes. The smell of the fresh cut grass that seeps into your nose like the fresh air. The found grass stains that have penetrated your uniform like a little green army that have marked their territory.…
