I have 6 brothers and 2 sisters. I was born in Wichita along with the majority of my siblings. One of my brothers is in prison due to gang banging, so fuck all gangs. I have a few brothers I haven’t seen in quite some time, one of my younger brothers I haven’t seen since I was maybe 4 or 5. I don’t have a real relationship with my mom, mainly due to her lack of empathy and drug addiction problems. She likes to make you believe she’ll change, but that’s all lies. I love the small piece of family I live with and the 2 cousins I grew up with more than anything. I consider my homies family. My homies are the ones I chill with outside of school, so if I don’t kick it with you, you just a friend, not a homie. The newest of my homies and I have been chilling day in and day out for 3 years, that’s nearly 1,100 days of chilling with them. And my older homies go back to 7th grade when I moved in with my dad. Without this perfection of sounds I would never have made it this far. I listened to Hip Hop when I was real young and the lyrics stuck with me. Before this I had listened to whatever my mom or step dad played, which was cool, but not awe inspiring. From the way the beats are constructed to how different artists write is so interesting to me, and that’s not including the final piece which takes up a large portion of my time. I normally have my headphones in playing my favorite artists. These artists are generally from New York, such as Joey Bada$$, Nyck Caution, Kirk Knight, and others in Pro Era. There’s the Flatbush Zombies, The Underachievers. As for historic or legendary artists, there’s Biggie, Tupac, Nas, and so many more. I love the New York style I don’t know why it just really resonates deep within me. The slower beat and the artists flow and the blend of them together is just so soulful. My favorite song Lyric at the moment would have to be: “I come from a block where you seen it but never saw shit”, by Dave East on It Was Written. This is my favorite lyric because of how real it is. It’s not lyrical but it’s the truth, it’s how it works out here. The different sounds within Hip Hop is pretty dope, for lack of better words. You can hear an artist and know which area he comes from or what artists inspired him/her. If someone plays drill rap, it originated from the Chicago area, New York has its own sound,
