When the Native American elder talks about the good and evil dogs, he is referring to the conscience and peer pressure of oneself. We determine who we want to be; if we want to be a good person or bad. We choose which dog to feed. Our conscience allows us to think about the decisions we are about to make and stirs us in the right path. However, we are able to ignore that nagging feeling that leans toward the right decision. The Holy Spirit is within us and helps us choose the right thing. God gave us the Holy Spirit for us to make the right choose and to let us become one with Him. It comes in us so that we may know God better in heaven and understand Him. I have fed both sides. When I feed the good dog, I am usually doing a good deed
