Holy Names Academy is well known throughout the community for being a school that produces strong young women who value community service, academics, ethics, justice, and the fine arts. The website describes a total of eight different musical activities that meet before, during, and after school. These programs include vocal and chamber ensembles, jazz band, and orchestra’s that I would like to be a part of. At this point in time, I currently participate in orchestras playing cello, string bass, and violin, and enjoy being a part of Seattle Girls’ Choir and Seattle Opera Productions. Holy Names is also one of four Washington schools to offer the AP Music Theory course that I want to take in order to earn credits for music theory courses I wish to take in my college

A discussion of these essential elements helps to set the backdrop for an explanation of my approach to the integration of faith and teaching, learning, and research in regards to Christian Higher Education, especially to Christian Ministry and Leadership discipline. I believe that the elements that are essential to the educational theory and practice of a Christian university are the development of students’ Christian worldview in which Christ-centered education is systematically rooted, the theological integration of faith and learning, and the preparation of students’ vocation…

Some teachers prefer class to be silent and appreciate when students work on their own, while other teachers like to see students making comments and having discussions about the material. Likewise, when students discovered which teachers prefered which type of students they changed to fit into that teachers perfect student. Pope states, “The students may use the disguises to hide their weakness or to show off their strengths, but in either case, the teacher is privy to only a partial view, often resulting in a lack of useful knowledge about the students, or worse, misconstructions about the youth.” An example of this claim is Teresa, one of the students Pope studied, she excelled in her business classes, and when she was nominated for Outstanding Business Award, her Spanish teacher was perplexed. He said that she often failed tests and didn’t turn in assignments.…
