Getting further deep into to the territory of Germany. Eventually, U.S soldiers would get close enough to the concentartion camps without knowing, they would smell a weird odor that made some of the troops feel nauseous and/or puke from the wiff of the dead bodies. Not knowing at all what it was or where it came from, the soldiers kept fighting the Nazi’s (German army) progressively. Until, arriving to a concentration camp, where it was found out that the Germans were actually burning the people (who were being held as prisoners) alive, giving it that weird stench that they were smelling before.
This tragedy of killing people, espically if it was the killing of specific people, would be considered a genocide. Which is the killing of people of a specific religion, race, or gender. Therefore, the holocaust was mostly the killing of Jews, making this a genocide. The leader or dictator of the Nazis was Adolf Hitler.
